Video Editing Continued

In order to fit the time limit we had to play around with the scenes and shorten them. We didn't want to just cut them and leave out key moments of the scene, so we decided to speed up some of the videos. It ended up working perfectly, since the quick action made the scene more suspenseful. The opening film is now exactly 2 minutes long and it is just about done. We will add the final touches the following week which is due date.

Video Editing

We have gathered all the videos and put them together. We edited the sequence and added sound to the film. We are almost done, we just need to add the credits throughout the opening film. We had to go through a lot of choosing since we shot the same scenes many times in order to get different angles. Putting this all together was not too hard, and by the looks of it, it is coming out just how we wanted it to.

Sound

I decided to use GarageBand to create a suspenseful sound. This will bring more suspense to the film and the audience will know there is something weird happening. Sound is a really important element in any film, it can completely change the situation of a scene and make it better.

Last Minute Changes

We had to improvise in some scenes. We had to make it look like the scientist was doing an experiment so we mixed baking soda with vinegar to create the illusion of a chemical reaction. We were able to use a smoke machine  to create a more suspenful environment. It also helped to create a more mysterious idea in the film, making it the hook of the opening.
